Frequently Asked Questions

What should I look for when choosing a home carer?

When selecting a home care provider, it’s important to choose an organisation you can trust. Start by reviewing your local authority’s list of approved providers and arranging a meeting to see how they address your needs and questions. Make sure their carers are fully vetted through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and that communication is clear and comfortable. Continuity is key, so ask how they ensure the same carers visit regularly. At Rosemont Care, we typically allocate a small, consistent team so you always feel supported by familiar faces.
You can also view every provider’s latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection report online.

Is Rosemont Care registered?

Yes. Rosemont Care Limited (07334693) is fully registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), a member of the UKHCA, and insured to deliver regulated home care services. We proudly support both private clients and local authority contracts.

Which areas do you cover?

With offices in Essex and Medway, we support individuals across both regions, as well as many surrounding areas in Greater London and Kent

When are your home care services available?

We provide care and support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, ensuring help is always available when you need it.

Are your care workers vetted and trained?

Absolutely. Every carer undergoes a rigorous recruitment process, including a formal interview, DBS check, thorough induction, and hands-on shadowing with a senior carer before working independently. Ongoing training ensures our team always meets the highest professional standards.

Can you guarantee the same carer every time?

Our goal is always to provide a consistent, small team of carers who get to know you well. While occasional changes may be necessary due to training or holidays, we will always notify you of any updates as soon as possible.

What if I am not entirely happy with my carer?

Your comfort and confidence are our priority. If anything about your service doesn’t feel right, please contact us straight away — we are here to listen, resolve concerns, and ensure your care experience remains positive.

What commitment do I need to make?

Our services are completely flexible. Whether you require a short visit, longer support, or full-time live-in care, you are welcome to use our services as often or as little as you choose.

What if I need additional support?

If your needs change or you require extra help — such as shopping trips, appointments, or overnight support — simply get in touch. We’ll adapt your care package to suit you.

Do you support people with mental health or medical conditions?

Yes. We work with individuals with a wide range of needs, including physical disabilities, sensory loss, mental health challenges, dementia, learning disabilities, eating disorders, and terminal illnesses.

How do I find out more?

To arrange a free assessment or discuss your needs, simply contact your local office:

Medway: 01634 717432 | medway@rosemontcare.co.uk

How much does in-home care cost?

Costs vary depending on the level of support required. After your free assessment, we’ll provide a clear, personalised estimate. You may also request a care needs assessment from Social Services to check if you’re eligible for local authority funding.

Can I receive services if I’m not eligible for funding?

Yes. We also provide privately funded care on a simple “user pays” basis and can invoice the person responsible for payment directly.

Can I make changes to my care plan?

Of course. Care needs evolve, and we review your plan regularly to ensure it always reflects your wishes. We welcome your feedback and are happy to adapt your support at any time.

Can I move to Rosemont Care from another provider?

Yes. If you’re privately funded, you can give notice to your current provider and we’ll arrange your new care package. If your care is arranged through Social Services, your social worker can help facilitate the transition — though you’re also welcome to use our services privately.

How can I give feedback?

Feedback is essential to the quality of our service. Whether you have a concern or a positive experience to share, please contact us for a confidential conversation. We will always respond and act promptly.
